Along with using traditional media, I love doing digital work. My absolute favourite program for this is ArtRage. The painting shown above is called “The Laughing Lizard” and it was done using ArtRage 5.
Ambient Design have just released the latest version which they have called ArtRage Vitae (essentially ArtRage 7). I’ve made a short video that looks at what’s new in this version.
You can also find my review of a previous version – ArtRage 5 here: The Number One Reason You Should Try ArtRage 5
Please note that I’m not associated with or sponsored by Ambient Design. I just love using and recommending ArtRage. Who are Ambient Design? Here’s what they say on their website: “Ambient Design is a New Zealand based software development company specialising in creative tools for artists. Our work across desktop and mobile platforms focuses on creating natural tools with intuitive interfaces. These let artists from both traditional and digital backgrounds paint without having to learn digital tricks to get realistic results.”
