With an outrageous colour scheme like this you would think that the Blue and Yellow was made to stand out. In fact it’s quite the opposite. In their natural habitat their bright colouration helps them to blend in with leaves and bright fruits. They have pretty good vocal abilities too – their screams and squawks can be hear over 3km away! They definitely don’t subscribe to the idea of “seen but not heard.”
