“Stripes”

Description

I’m fascinated by the different patterns that are found in nature and zebras are a great example. Each animal has a distinctive and unique pattern.

This painting is another in my ongoing (and never ending) “Patterns of Nature” series. While it depicts a beautiful animal and I’m happy to have captured a little bit of that, for me this painting is all about the patterns. I even got a bit carried away and continued the patterns over the side of the canvas (see pictures).

It is on a double thickness gallery canvas so it does not need framing and it is ready to hang.
