Description
I loved the pattern on this giraffe close up. As I was painting it I realised that there were a number of heart-shaped patches. I decided to emphasise one of them so that it formed a focal point for the painting. It also gave me a focal point for coming up with an appropriate name.
Did you know? The collective noun for a group of giraffe is either “a journey” if they are on the move or “a tower” if they are standing still. You can of course use the term “herd”. It’s grammatically correct but nowhere near as descriptive of these beautiful animals.
